We’re hiring an ambitious, collaborative Sales & Marketing Director to join the GES Senior Leadership Team — someone who combines customer insight, brand vision, and sales excellence to drive growth, innovation and market leadership.

Why this role matters
As Sales & Marketing Director, you will lead the commercial strategy for a £50m business with 40,000 SKUs, a diverse UK and international customer base, and seven brands across multiple channels. Your role will span sales, marketing, customer relationships, brand strategy, pricing, and pipeline management.
This is a strategic leadership role — and a chance to transform how we engage with the market, optimise performance, and unlock future growth. You’ll work closely with peers across GES and the wider group, building a high-performing, insight-led and digitally enabled commercial function.
What you’ll be doing
* Develop and lead the end-to-end commercial strategy across sales, marketing, pricing and customer relationship management.
* Hold full P&L accountability for GES UK’s sales and marketing performance, including setting and delivering against revenue and margin targets.
* Drive brand positioning and market communication across all GES businesses, ensuring clarity and cohesion in a multi-brand structure.
* Champion customer insight and digital transformation to shape service delivery, marketing campaigns, and product development.
* Lead and coach a cross-functional team across multiple sites, building an engaged, innovative and empowered commercial team.
* Collaborate with senior colleagues to align commercial strategy with operational delivery and longer-term growth goals.

You’ll bring:
* Senior leadership experience in Sales, Marketing or Commercial roles across multiple brands or customer segments.
* Deep understanding of B2B sales pipelines, pricing models and go-to-market strategies.
* Track record of P&L ownership and delivering commercial growth across product and project-based businesses.
* Strong knowledge of the education sector or similarly complex public sector or regulated industries.
* Proven experience of leading high-performing, multi-site teams and delivering cultural and performance transformation.
* Familiarity with digital marketing, CRM tools and data-driven decision making.
