Staff canteen chef and Prep Chef for the main kitchen required for a kitchen in the Henley area, 40 hrs, paid overtime & basic is £28000 (40hrs), this role will cook the staff meals and ensure the staff meal menu is written each week and cooked on time. You will also support the chef de parties in the main kitchen to prep the various sections and be involved in general prep. Hours are 8-4 or 9-5, the staff lunches are served from 11am and the evening meals must be in the oven ready to come out for 5pm (which can be served by others, as long as its in the oven before you leave)
The role
We are looking for a Staff chef who will write the staff canteen menu, you will cook the lunches and dinners for the staff of this Hotel. You will ensure the menu for the staff is cooked and the food is on the canteen hot plate for the required time. You will also support the chef de partie in each section to be helping with the prep for each section.The prep side will be across the various sections, support i from a rosette or a good background to run a section in this kitchen, they have a restaurant and events as well. you will prep your fridge, ensure your ready for service, cook in service and ensure everything runs smoothly on your section. the sections change around. This role will include all the normal chef de partie duties.
