Teaching Assistant | Primary School | Kingston Upon Thames (KT10) | ASAP Start | Long-term to Permanent | £95 - £105 per day
We are excited to team up with a welcoming primary school in Kingston Upon Thames. We are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role focuses on general classroom support, SEN support, and interventions, providing vital assistance to both teachers and students in primary school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide general classroom support (e.g., assisting with group activities or setting up resources).
- Deliver targeted SEN support through small group sessions and one-to-one interventions (e.g., supporting literacy groups or behaviour regulation tasks).
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher to implement individualised education plans for students with Special Educational Needs.
- Participate in delivering tailored interventions to support academic progress, emotional regulation, and social development (e.g., phonics interventions or social skills sessions).
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCo to adapt learning materials to meet diverse needs.
- Monitor and report on student progress, liaising with staff and parents as needed.
The perfect candidate for this role will have:
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, in a school or similar setting.
- A calm, patient, and flexible approach to supporting young learners.
- Strong organisational skills and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with staff.
- A relevant Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent is required.
- A passion for creating positive learning experiences and helping children reach their potential.
