JOB PURPOSE:
To support the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support and other person centred practices within our services. The role involves assisting with administrative tasks, data analysis, and direct support activities to enhance the quality of life for the individuals we serve. The apprentice will gain hands-on experience and professional development while contributing to a dedicated team focused on improving outcomes for vulnerable adults and children.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support administrative tasks such as data capture and Excel usage
Analyse data to identify patterns
Review behaviour monitoring forms to identify triggers
Utilize Matrix for analysis and intervention development
Assist in running workshops, training sessions, and meetings
Conduct positive monitoring
Build positive relationships with the people we support and our staff team.
Serve as a point of contact for team queries
Answer telephone calls and respond appropriately to queries
Assist managers with behavioural support administration as needed
GENERAL:
Always observe and follow health and safety guidelines.
Participate in training, as required, for skill development
Any other reasonable duties that may be required.

We are seeking a positive and motivated individual to join our team as a Behaviour Support Apprentice. You will work closely with our Specialist Practitioner in a dynamic office environment and across our services in Cardiff and Vale. Our Specialist Practitioner is dedicated to implementing:

Our ultimate goal is to enhance the quality of life for everyone we support. This role requires a high level of enthusiasm and commitment.
As an apprentice, you will pursue a Level 2/3 Business Administration qualification, supported by work-based practices. You will be assigned a tutor who will guide you and conduct observations.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Minimum of 5 GCSE’s grade A*-D or equivalent

PAY:
National apprenticeship wage
HOURS:
There will be a requirement to have flexibility around working hours depending on the needs of the service, typically it will be 16-24 hours per week with the potential to increase to full-time.
18 month fixed term contract
INTERVIEW ARRANGEMENTS:
Candidates will be invited to Gofal Cymru Care for a first stage interview, if successful they will be called for a second stage interview (this is called a shadow shift) where candidates will be taken to one of our homes for a tour and have the chance to meet service users. This gives the candidates a good idea of what services we provide – it’s also an opportunity for the candidates to decide if we are a good fit for them.
