We are seeking a new Graduate Designer to join our industry respected and expanding design team, based in our Ilkeston office. The candidate must have sound understanding of 2D CAD packages and ideally some experience and knowledge of producing structural and FE analysis calculations.
We have been in the construction industry for over 40 years, specialising in the design and manufacture of aluminium building products. Please visit our website www.dales-eaves.co.uk to get a better understanding of the design and manufacture service we offer.
After the initial mentored training period, the successful candidate will manage multiple design projects from initial architect’s inception to supporting site installation, liaising with architects and customers at all levels, reporting directly to senior management. They will be responsible for the design of bespoke systems to suit each customer’s individual needs, preparation of AutoCAD drawings (representing 60%+ of the role), material requirements, calculations, and site instruction/installation packages. They will liaise with site/architects to offer telephone support and, if necessary, 'on-site' advice.
We are a family-run company with opportunities for career progression. Full training will be provided by utilising both external training establishments and internal training with our experienced design and fabrication team.
