What We're Looking For:
We're seeking a dedicated professional to manage and deliver the stock investment and planned works programmes for PA Housing, focusing on our LSE properties. These programmes include essential updates like kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, and roof replacements. Additionally, you will oversee cyclical decorations, repairs, and various ad-hoc planned works as necessary.
We offer a flexible hybrid working arrangement for this role. You'll typically be required to be in the office 2-3 days per week, with the remaining days working from home when not working onsite. However, during your probation and training period, more time in the office might be necessary to ensure you feel fully prepared and confident in your role. If you prefer to spend more time in the office, that's completely fine with us too!
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver stock investment and planned works programmes for PA Housing, focusing on our Midlands properties. This includes updates to kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, and roofs.
* Utilise and maintain Keystone for managing works, including the use of mobile technology.
* Certify contractor valuations and claims within the role's delegated authority limits, including interim and final account payments.
* Manage the quality inspection process of works, including pre-start scoping, in-progress quality inspections, and post-inspection sign-offs.
* Collaborate closely with our resident liaison officer to ensure excellent customer experience and high levels of satisfaction.
* Review and update stock data to develop future stock investment and planned work programmes.
Ideal Candidate:
* Holds a professional qualification in a relevant technical discipline or can demonstrate suitable experience to meet the role's requirements.
* Accredited qualifications by the Royal Institution for Chartered Surveyors or the Chartered Institute of Building.
* NEBOSH/IOSH qualification.
* A minimum of two years’ experience in delivering stock investment/major works to social housing or private residential housing.
* Experience managing suppliers through long-term contracts, including JCT Measured Term contracts or similar.
Disclosure and Barring Service:
This role requires the successful candidate to complete a basic DBS check. A basic DBS check will show any unspent convictions.
Having unspent convictions will not necessarily preclude you from being recruited into the role; if you are potentially the successful candidate, we will complete a risk assessment with you to understand the circumstances around your conviction, how relevant they are to the post you have applied for and what remedial action, if any, you have taken since your conviction. Suitable references will also need to be obtained prior to commencement of employment.
