AW Construction Services Ltd are a successful multi-disciplined construction company based in Folkestone who are looking to recruit an experienced and committed working site supervisor/manager to join our expanding team, supporting projects in Kent and London.
Due to the nature of the works, we can consistently offer long shifts, 7 days/week, presenting the opportunity to earn a very good wage, for those that want it. You must be prepared to work hard, and have a good positive attitude for this to work.
The position could be on a self-employed or PAYE basis, with or without a van, with the package as a whole adjusted accordingly.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on a variety of commercial construction projects, managing a small to medium directly employed workforce, and sub-contractors, ensuring quality assurance and good health and safety standards are at the heart of all they do. We are looking for a confident working site manager who has fit out/refurb experience.
Applicants must hold a valid SSSTS or SMSTS qualification and a full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities:
* Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project, ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met.
* Ensuring good health and safety standards are maintained and maintaining associated documents.
* Regularly reviewing drawings and scope of works, ensuring what is being built is correct.
* Regularly reviewing progress against the programme of works.
* Liaising with the client, other construction professionals and, sometimes, members of the public.
* Coordinating and supervising construction workers.
* Selecting tools and materials.
* Preparing site reports, designs and drawings.
* Maintaining quality control procedures.
* Finding ways to prevent problems from happening and to solve any that crop up.
* Assessing and minimising risk.
