My client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Inventory Accountant to join their finance team. This role is critical to maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting financial operations.
Responsibilities:
* Monitor inventory transactions, update general ledger, analyse data, perform inventory audits, and produce regular reports.
* Develop and enhance inventory process controls and documentation.
* Reconcile inventory discrepancies and prepare adjusting entries.
* Assist with quality control operations and participate in inventory counts.
* Provide accounting support to multiple company locations.
* Participate in month-end closes and support the accounting team.
* Utilise accounting software to process and obtain data.
* Submit routine inventory control reports and support ad-hoc reporting requests.
* Collaborate with Operations and Finance to implement a strong inventory control environment.
* Apply critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to anticipate and address issues.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Proven experience in inventory accounting or a similar role.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
