About the role We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated team player to take up the position of Planner- Contributions within the City Planning Department. The position will assist in the formation of new development contributions plans, negotiating voluntary planning agreements and their ongoing monitoring and review, to ensure we continue to grow and meet the needs of our existing and future communities in respect to infrastructure planning and delivery. The position will contribution to a broad range of planning projects that will provide both amazing opportunities and challenges as we balance growth, resilience and liveability in our city. Essential A tertiary qualification (or nearing completion) in Planning or relevant field An understanding of the NSW statutory planning framework and other relevant legislation An interest in Development Contributions planning and a willingness to learn Team participation and project coordination skills Sound negotiation, communication and customer liaison skills Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and complete projects within designated timeframes Desirable Experience working in a local government environment in planning or a related field Relevant work experience in planning policy formulation or contributions planning Current Class C driver license Commencing salary: $90,063.00 per annum, plus 11.5% Superannuation.
