Job Title: Qualified Social Worker - Child Protection Team Location: Somerset Rate: £38 per hour We are excited to announce a new opportunity for registered and experienced Qualified Social Workers to join our dynamic Child Protection Team based in Somerset. What will your responsibilities be? You will provide assessment, care management and social work services to children and their families, arising out of the council’s duties and powers under legislation, Council and Group policy. The role focuses on promoting and modelling effective collaboration with Mental Health services and various voluntary and community partners to support Care Experienced young people. It necessitates a solid understanding of evidence-based practices and the integration of best practice models into daily service delivery. The successful candidate will engage in clinical supervision and risk assessment, coordinating with mental health services across different boroughs and regions. Furthermore, they will develop, implement, and regularly review a multi-agency Pathway Plan with the young person, working proactively to help them achieve their goals. Additionally, you need to hold a full UK driving licence and possess post-qualified experience. A degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work is also required. Child Protection Social Workers need to understand and integrate into practice the key polices of the council in relation to social care with children and families, especially multi-disciplinary working, integration, and whole family approaches.
