Are you passionate about automotive restoration and precision planning? We’re looking for a proactive Parts and Materials Coordinator to ensure the seamless flow of materials and components based near Daventry on an initial contracting basis paying up to £40,000 per annum.
About the Role:
As the Parts and Materials Coordinator, you’ll take charge of scheduling and managing the supply chain—from internal processing to external suppliers—ensuring parts arrive on time to meet build plans. You’ll oversee stock levels of donor parts, forecast material demand, and maintain strong supplier relationships to keep the operation running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Parts and Materials Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating the used parts department. Your duties will include:
Keeping the build on track – Schedule and manage the supply of materials and components, ensuring everything arrives on time, from internal processing to external suppliers.
Managing donor parts & stock levels – Monitor and assess stock levels, making sure there are the right parts at the right time.
Planning ahead – Interpret the master schedule to forecast material demand and ensure seamless refurbishment of parts.
Improve & optimise – Implement efficient processes, support continuous improvements, and find smarter ways to streamline supply chain operations.
Working with suppliers & stakeholders – Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to plan, forecast, and maintain a reliable materials flow.
Building strong supplier relationships – Issue forecasts, manage orders, and ensure timely deliveries to keep projects moving.
As the Parts and Materials Coordinator, you’ll take this role beyond coordination and incorporate Compliance and Quality in your day-to-day, you will:
Ensure top-notch quality – Inspect materials to maintain consistency, integrity, and compliance with standards.
Identify & resolve defects – Investigate issues, propose solutions, and flag quality concerns to the QA team.
Keep records accurate – Maintain proper documentation, including rejection notes for non-compliant materials.
Stay compliant – Adhere to all internal policies, quality standards, and industry regulations.
Hours:
Day Shift: Monday – Thursday: 7.00am – 16.30pm and Friday 7.00am – 12.15pm with the opportunity for weekday and Saturday overtime.
