Ringway Jacobs has an exciting opportunity for a Depot Coordinator to join the Maintenance & Operations Team in Cheshire.
Reporting to the Area Manager, the purpose of the role is to ensure the North depots are compliant with current and future legislation, to coordinate both external and internal plant and equipment. To maintain material stock levels and monitor costs to ensure maximum efficiencies are achieved.
The Role
1. To coordinate and manage a multifunctional highways depot (Highways, Street Lighting, Structures & Winter maintenance).
2. Raise orders for waste removal, plant, materials and PPE for the highways service.
3. Ensure all stock levels of plant, equipment and materials are monitored and maintained.
4. Obtain COSHH information for all new products.
5. Hire/off hire plant in line with business needs.
6. Ensure asset register records are maintained.
7. Managing waste within the depot facilities.
8. Manage depot areas and keep in good order.
Minimum Requirements
1. Conversant with Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
2. Highway maintenance, Street Lighting and/OR construction knowledge.
3. Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to liaise effectively with peers, client representatives and members of the public.
5. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
6. Demonstrable awareness of environmental aspects and impacts of waste management.
7. WAMITAB level 4 (Desirable).
