My client, a large PLC based in Birmingham, is looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to support them on a 9-month fixed-term contract. They are looking for someone who can start within the next 2 weeks and is commutable from Birmingham as they are in the office 2 days per week.
Key responsibilities of the role:
* Reviewing and implementing innovative ways to improve our month-end numbers, therefore improving the overall efficiency of our projects.
* Analysing on a weekly basis soft closing the week in order to prepare for month-end.
* Playing a key role in reducing the time it takes to complete month-end reporting.
* Leading key projects such as year-end audits and internal audit self-assessments, delivering exceptional deadlines and improving business performance.
* Managing a junior member to ensure they understand business requirements and complete deadline requirements on time.
Skills and knowledge:
* Strong ability to work with ERPs, specifically Navision.
* Proactive.
* Driven.
* Problem solver - able to solve problems without prompts.
