We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Catering Lecturer with a specialisation in patisserie to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, particularly in creating exquisite pastries and desserts. Your primary role will be to support our students in achieving their qualifications and preparing them for successful careers in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Student Support and Education:
Mentor and guide students to achieve their culinary qualifications. Prepare engaging lesson plans and deliver high-quality classroom instruction. Mark assignments and provide constructive feedback.
2. Curriculum and Programme Management:
Contribute to the development and leadership of hospitality programmes. Participate in curriculum development and marketing activities. Act as a Programme Tutor, ensuring comprehensive educational support.
3. Kitchen and Food Safety:
Maintain high standards of hygiene and health and safety in line with college and legal requirements. Ensure all food safety compliance within kitchen and restaurant areas.
4. Operational Duties:
Follow budgetary guidelines and kitchen management procedures. Adjust working hours as necessary to meet the demands of the role.

Please note this role is fixed term for one year (July 2025) and is a part time position, 2 and half days a week, days to be discussed at interview.
