Hours per week: 5 hours per week minimum
Hourly pay rate:
£14 an hour on weekdays, £16 an hour on weekends
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping individuals, particularly those with special educational needs. This role involves providing care and support to enhance the quality of life for a female individual, ensuring they receive the assistance they require. There will be 2:1 support when based in the community. Full training provided.
Duties include:
Medication prompting/administering
Personal grooming
Eating and drinking assistance
Moving and handling
Clinical tasks
Other relevant duties as required
Administration
Housekeeping
Shopping
Cooking
Transportation
Companionship
Dressing / undressing
Focus on unique requirements
Ensure safety & Well-being
Transport to and from activities/appointments
Document progress & relevant information
Maintain personal care & catheter care
Spending time with the individual at their home or carrying out their chosen activities including cinema, day centre and swimming.
Candidate qualities:
Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
Reliable with good timekeeping
Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
Honest and cheerful
A Full UK driving license is preferred but not essential.
Genuine desire to support an individual in their daily life.
