Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology and knowledge transfer. - THE ROLE - As a member of the People development team, this role will contribute to the delivery of a learning culture, bringing innovation and new thinking to workplace learning while integrating the 70:20:10 model for workplace learning, areas of focus will include: - Expertise in leading the application of, and innovation in using learning technologies to support a forward thinking learning and development function and enable the ambition in supporting all colleagues to enhance their potential. - Lead on the growth and application in the use of new learning technologies to support an innovative approach of workplace learning in Ulster. - Expertise in the design, development and build of eLearning products. - Specialist advice and consultancy on learning design and delivery of workplace interventions that support compulsory compliance training pan university. - Playing a key role in the delivery of a governance structure to enable consistent and best practice in compulsory compliance training management, ensuring current and future compliance needs of Ulster University in relation to learning, training, data and reporting. - To make a significant contribution to the growth of the People Development function and discipline within the institution and contribute to the delivery of the wider People and Culture operational plan by working closely with colleagues in the other sections of the People and Culture Directorate. - ABOUT YOU - The postholder will be required to be: - A Degree or other relevant professional qualifications and by related experience demonstrate eligibility for and commitment to securing Chartered level Membership of CIPD (CIPD) or other relevant external professional body by examination and experience. OR - A Degree (or higher) in a business related discipline which includes a substantial element of either Learning and Development, Leadership Development, Executive and Business Coaching, or HR Management plus a commitment to securing Corporate Membership of CIPD or other relevant external professional body by examination and experience. - Significant demonstration of experience in a Learning and Development, Leadership and Management Development or organisational development role in a large complex organisation. This must include direct personal involvement as a specialist advisor in relation to the design and delivery of learning and development interventions.
