What the Job Involves The Fleet Mechanic is responsible for the repair, servicing, and maintenance of fleet vehicles, plant, and equipment, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and Ministry of Transport regulations. You will maintain documentation, ensure workshop safety, liaise with various departments, and coordinate roadside recovery efforts. Diagnostic investigations and providing technical recommendations are part of your regular duties. Additionally, collaborating with fleet management to achieve cost-effective repairs is essential, and you may need to perform work during alternating shifts. Skills Level 3 NVQ in Light Motor Mechanics or equivalent HGV level 2 maintenance and repair qualifications Relevant Health and Safety qualifications Diagnostic equipment proficiency Experience with Electrical Vehicles In-depth knowledge of vehicle and plant maintenance Strong communication skills in English; Welsh desirable Ability to work in all weather conditions Own comprehensive tool kit
