We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.
As the Head of Assessment Programmes, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of global education. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and oversee innovative assessment projects designed to meet the evolving needs of international education systems. Collaborating with a diverse range of clients, including government bodies, ministries of education, and educational leaders, you will drive impactful change. With a requirement for frequent international travel, you will connect with stakeholders worldwide, ensuring that Cambridge Assessment remains at the forefront of assessment reform.
About The Role
In this role, you will lead a team of highly skilled Senior Assessment Advisors and Assessment Managers, ensuring that the organisation's strategic objectives are met with precision and excellence. You will be responsible for overseeing complex, large-scale projects, delivering high-quality assessment solutions that align with the needs of diverse clients and meet Cambridge's rigorous standards often to tight budget constraints.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders both within CUPA and the wider educational community, including ministers and educational leaders, to build long-term partnerships and provide expert consultancy on assessment systems and reform initiatives. Traveling to key locations, you will foster collaboration and oversee the successful delivery of projects, often navigating complex educational landscapes.
Additionally, you will analyse trends in international assessment reform, identifying and developing the skills and capabilities needed to stay ahead in this ever-changing field. Your innovative approach will drive the development of new assessment systems, materials, and processes, ensuring they meet the highest standards while supporting Cambridge's mission to advance education worldwide.
About You
You are a skilled and experienced leader with a passion for education and assessment. Your deep understanding of educational assessment concepts and international education systems equips you to tackle the complexities of this role.
Your ability to manage and inspire cross-cultural teams will be critical, as will your exceptional communication and negotiation skills. You have a proven track record of working with senior stakeholders, influencing decisions, and delivering complex projects under pressure. You will enjoy international travel, as this provides opportunities to collaborate with diverse cultures and build meaningful partnerships.
Highly proactive and organised, you thrive in dynamic environments. Your attention to detail, combined with your ability to think strategically, ensures that you deliver exceptional results. With a keen interest in innovation and a dedication to quality, you are ready to lead Cambridge Assessment's efforts to shape the future of education on a global scale.
