The Role
Working over a 4-day week and reporting to the Shopfloor Supervisor, the main responsibilities will be:
• Setting and Operating CNC Lathes.
• Creating, reading, and adjusting programs, changing offsets, and setting work-shifts.
• Operating a wide range of measurement devices, procedures, and machining techniques.
• Ability to perform complex machining processes, which may include prototype products.
• Ability to produce new programs from drawings for parts, for new and existing customers.
• Ability to perform inspection duties i.e., measuring and documenting from inspection reports and where applicable be able to use CMM machines as and when required.
• Performing in-line inspection to verify work (training will be given).
• Diligent adherence to company performance, quality and any Non-Conformance reported.
The Candidate
1. Minimum of 3 years working CNC lathes
2. Able to read engineering drawings
3. Experience operating Fanuc would be ideal
4. Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure
5. Good communication skills
The Package
The salary offered for this position is £13- £16 per hour pa to a candidate that can meet all key qualifications and abilities. Overtime is on offer.
