Position: Behaviour Support Mentor (1:1 Support)

Overview:
Tradewind Recruitment is actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behaviour Support Mentor to provide one-to-one support for a Key Stage 2 child in a mainstream primary school located in Widnes. This full-time position requires a commitment to a long-term contract to ensure continuity and stability for the child's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing one-to-one behaviour support to a Key Stage 2 child, fostering a positive and supportive relationship.
2. Implementing tailored strategies to manage and improve the child's behaviour.
3. Assisting with the child's academic, social, and emotional development.
4. Working closely with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to create and follow an effective support plan.
5. Monitoring and recording the child's progress and adapting support as necessary.
6. Promoting a safe and inclusive environment that encourages the child's engagement and participation.
Requirements:
7. Experience supporting children or adults in a similar capacity.
8. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
9. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children with behavioural needs.
10. Commitment to a long-term role to provide stability and consistency for the child.
11. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant/SEN qualification is desirable but not essential.
