Monday:Friday Double Days or 3:Shift Pattern
Our client is a leading food manufacturer, supplying to all the major supermarkets online food delivery companies, wholesale and restaurant chains. They are looking for a number of Production Shift Leaders to supervise their production teams.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Leading a team of production line technicians
* Manage efficient operation of all production lines and packaging machinery
* Train, guide and supervise technicians, ensure that they are trained appropriately
* Participate in operational meetings and report on KPis
* Monitor production line performance against KPis
* Team performance management : appraisals, reviews, training, disciplinaries
* Ensure that health and safety, quality and food hygiene standards are met
* Involved in recruitment, planning, resource management
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Previous leadership experience of supervising a production team
* Must have worked in a food manufacturing environment
* Able to work well under pressure
* Good understanding of SAP
* Food Safety, Hygiene, HACCP qualified
* Approachable character, positive leader
* Packaging machinery experience is desirable
* Good knowledge of health and safety and food hygiene standards
* Enthusiastic approach and self:motivated
* Results orientated with good problem solving and organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills
