Performance & Insight Service Manager Trowbridge, Wiltshire
Performance & Insights - Collaborating Community Engagement for Stronger Outcomes
Embark on a pivotal role in driving transformative change as a Performance & Insights Service Manager within the People Services (Children's, Education, and Adult's Performance & Insights).
Our teams are pivotal in developing the tools, techniques and behaviours that improve our outcomes-focused performance management culture. Our mission is to enhance organisational performance by fostering a positive performance culture, enhancing data collaboration and visualisation, ensuring accurate statutory reporting, and promoting strategic alignment across the council and with our partner agencies.
Building on our successes, you will be primarily responsible for driving innovative and integrated performance reporting - both across the council, with our partner agencies and commissioned services. You will ensure the consistency, accessibility, and quality of performance data shared between services, overseeing the development of partnership insights, addressing performance challenges with a solutions-focused mindset, and prioritising staff and partner agency engagement. Recognising the interplay between system design and data quality, effective collaboration with relevant IT/Systems leads will be crucial to delivering necessary changes.
As an inspiring leader, you'll bring substantial interpersonal and engagement skills plus experience in operational performance scrutiny and assurance. You'll excel in forming positive working relationships and leading diverse stakeholder teams. You will need a basic understanding of data (including data governance), relevant statutory returns (e.g., SALT, ASCOF, CIN Census, School Census) and general knowledge of the operations and duties of education and social services within local authorities.
Join our agile, inclusive, and values-driven council, where your contributions will be instrumental in shaping a future of excellence.
The council is committed to creating an environment of positive working relationships where everyone feels engaged, supported and able to thrive. Our Identity is a framework which sets out how we are all expected to lead, work and act to deliver our services. Everyone is expected to promote a culture of inclusion, dignity, trust and respect which is underpinned by our vision and Our Identity framework.
We are firmly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and to the principles of inclusion and diversity in both employment and the delivery of services. Read our statement of commitment to equality and inclusion.
