Are you a Domestic Gas Service and Maintenance Engineer looking to work for a company that has a great culture and looks after their staff?
This role is working for a Bristol based Heating Company that provides Service, Maintenance and New Installations of Heating systems to both domestic and commercial properties across the south west region, as well as working with renewable energy. Due to this, the company offers all employees upskilling and training within renewables such as Air Source and Ground Source Heat Pumps.
Working as part of a very successful team, they are looking to recruit a domestic gas service/repair engineer, who’s ambitious and wants to further progress within their career. Whilst experience in renewables isn’t essential, applicants ideally will be willing to upskill in this field (all training will be provided). You must have the ability to act independently, prioritise work, and make intelligent but pragmatic decisions whilst having the judgment to know when to discuss and gain support from your line manager.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Complete Landlord Gas Safety inspections and gas appliance servicing as per manufacturers' instructions at private and social housing properties.
2. Carry out reactive maintenance on all types of boilers and heating systems.
3. Strictly adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and all relevant industry standards (including basic risk assessments), whilst completing all work in line with manufacturers' recommendations and company procedures.
4. A flexible approach to working hours, including working overtime when required, and being part of an out-of-hours call-out rota (compulsory) to meet customer expectations.
5. Responsible for managing company vehicle, including its cleanliness (inside and out) and van stock levels.
Experience:
Qualified in domestic heating systems, fault finding, and central heating controls with a proven track record and able to demonstrate a high level of customer service whilst treating customers' properties with respect.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
1. Accredited Certification Scheme including CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1.
2. UHWSS (G3 Unvented Hot Water systems).
3. Essential system controls, electrics, and basic heating wiring knowledge.
4. General IT skills, the candidate will be required to complete documentation related to work activities, which may include the use of an iPad.
5. Clean driving license.
