Award winning Multidisciplinary Design Studio, made up of an ambitious collective of Designers, Architects and Interior experts are seeking a likeminded Senior Architect to join their team. The studio is located in Buckinghamshire, peacefully nestled in nature as opposed to the hectic concrete jungle that is central London, with onsite parking for a beautifully designed studio space that promotes collaboration and inspires creativity. They operate on a hybrid working basis, requiring the team to be in the office a minimum of 2 days per week on their core days, this has allowed them to create a strong studio culture focused around cohesive efficient design, support and mentor-ship.
The Studio is a design and delivery branch of a large group, specialising in Retail and Commercial projects, with an ethos around humancentric design and extensive attention to detail. They have a steady pipeline of projects built up of key repeat clients, an exciting aspect of this position is the chance to be in a lead role, to oversee and manage one of their major retail clients. In light of this they are ideally looking for a Senior Architect with 6+ yrs of UK industry experience, with experience across RIBA stages 0-7 and a well-rounded design + technical skillset.
The Role … Focusing on Retail, Commercial, F&B projects. Will be responsible for taking a lead role in the delivery of projects and will work closely with the Senior Management Team to help drive project efficiencies. Running projects from feasibility to completion, managing design teams and dealing with contractors and consultants.
Will be a varied client-facing role, including taking and interpreting briefs, liaising with clients to ensure any issues are addressed in a timely manner, ensuring the clients project requirements are always met.
Contribute to design and technical production work, be hands on with coordination and drawing reviews.
Assist with opportunities for developing new business and contributing to the company's growth strategy. This may include attending events that promote new business opportunities and pitching to clients.
Working closely with the Creative Director for any heavily design biased work, conducting regular reviews and collaborating on conceptual/design development.
Exercising exceptional time management skills, being comfortable overseeing and reporting on a number of projects at any one time.
Applying strong leadership skills, actively mentor and develop junior team members - someone who enjoys knowledge sharing and giving back to the industry.

Conducting risk assessments and risk management across a project life cycle.
Construction detailing and techniques.
Fluency of UK Building Regulations, including the BSA '22 and familiarity with a Principal Designer role/responsibilities. Understanding of CDM related responsibilities.
Planning process experience.
Understanding of contract types & contractual responsibilities including Contract Administration

ARB Registered Architect with at least 6 yrs of UK based industry experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD + Adobe Suite is essential (Revit, or other software is a bonus).
Effective communication skills, visual, verbal and written.
Time management to keep projects on schedule and within costs.
Proficient in putting together presentations.
