This role is home based with frequent travel throughout parts of Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, East Anglia, Essex, Hertfordshire and North London.
Ideally you will be based within a 30 mile radius of Peterborough.
Salary circa £38,000 depending on experience plus car allowance of £5,800
Permanent, 37.5 hours per week
As a Stock Condition Surveyor you'll conduct accurate stock condition surveys against set criteria, including the Decent Homes Standard (DHS) and the Housing Health Safety Rating System (HHSRS), in alignment with internal standards.
Responsibilities also include:
1. Planning future investments based on historical surveys, repairs, maintenance works, and improvement projects.
2. Supporting Asset Evaluation Surveyors in developing planned investment programs and strategic decision-making.
3. Attending operations and resident meetings to explain proposed investment decisions and address concerns.
4. Liaising with colleagues to relay property condition information, identify recurring problems, and facilitate collaborative maintenance efforts.
5. Assisting in preparing statistics, reports, and other relevant information as required.
About You
To be successful in this role we'd like you to have/be;
HND / HNC or equivalent in Building or Construction (essential)
Working towards MRICS or MCIOB status (desirable)
A backgound in building/building services/retirement housing would be an advantage.
Understanding of the differences between care homes, rented housing, and homeownership estates, and their respective customer expectations.
Strong data handling and analysis skills.
Proven ability to work effectively with stakeholders on projects.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to assess investment proposals to achieve positive outcomes.
Excellent planning, prioritisation, and deadline management abilities.
Outstanding communication skills.
It would be great if you live within the East Sussex or Surrey region
