Dulwich Prep & Senior is an exciting place to work - with over 800 pupils, it has been the largest boys’ prep school in the UK and is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of the world’s most cosmopolitan city. We are committed to fostering a learning environment that encourages and celebrates continuous professional development (CPD), as we believe that a love for learning begins with our staff. The school’s strength is its community: our staff, who are professional, passionate, and brilliantly collegiate; our pupils, who are inquisitive, challenging learners with a spring in their step, and our parents, who are hugely supportive, appreciative, and ambitious.
We are seeking to appoint a helpful, motivated and team-focused individual to assist and support the facilities team with the daily preparation and maintenance of the whole school site, including Early Years, sports pavilions and the swimming pool. Duties include meeting and greeting facility hirers, completing basic maintenance tasks, including sweeping, leaf blowing, and other general duties. The successful candidate will have a flexible approach and strive for a high standard of work, as well as the willingness to respond to priorities and meet challenges with enthusiasm.
A full UK driving license is essential and a basic knowledge and aptitude for handyman tasks with an interest or experience in gardening is advantageous. The ability to swim and to drive a mini-bus would be helpful.
Working hours will be 10.00am to 7.00pm, Monday to Friday, plus 15 Saturdays (7.00am to 6.00pm) to be worked each year.
