An exciting development opportunity to join a well-established leading firm of Independent accountants as they look to appoint a Director to their Managed Services department.
Working across Teeside, you will be a qualified Accountant with considerable years of experience leading successful teams. Working alongside the Partner group, you will be responsible for winning new work, developing new client relationships, and enhancing the existing team processes to further improve client service delivery.
Your role:
* Providing leadership to the team as part of the leadership group.
* Managing a portfolio of clients, including winning new business, onboarding, planning, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior colleagues.
* Identifying and improving processes within the team including the implementation of new software where appropriate.
* Management reporting, forecasting, accounts analysis and interpretation against key performance indicators, discussing these with clients to assist them in operational and strategic decision making.
* Working with clients on projects and short-term engagements, including implementing finance systems such as Xero, Sage 50, Quickbooks, and more.
* Working with the team to develop innovative solutions and deliver excellent client service.
* Attending client meetings to present financial data and make recommendations for improving finance functions.
The person:
* ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification, or with equivalent experience.
* Relevant UK experience in a similar role in a practice environment and looking to take the next step in their career.
* Strong with finance systems software including Sage, Xero, Dynamics Business Central, Dext, reporting forecasts, etc.
* Very strong Excel skills.
* A positive, proactive, and collaborative approach to problem solving.
* Good verbal and written communication skills in what will be a client-facing role winning new work and leading a team.
* The ability to manage own time and work to tight deadlines.
* Happy to travel across the region to meet with clients when needed.
