Accounts Technician Location: Newtownards Salary: £35,000 ( Bonus Options available ) Job Type: Full-Time Our client is a well-established and long running organisation in the medical sector who are looking for a meticulous and experienced Accounts Technician to enhance their finance team. This role is vital in ensuring efficient financial processes and reporting, working closely with the Finance Manager. Key Duties: Manage purchase and sales ledgers efficiently in a dynamic setting. Prepare and process weekly and monthly payroll, including handling pension administration. Conduct bank reconciliations, post journal entries, and reconcile balance sheets. Oversee financial aspects of capital projects and generate statistical reports. Assist with month-end and year-end closures, including intercompany reconciliations. Maintain accurate audit records and ensure adherence to financial policies. Coordinate with internal teams and liaise with external parties such as auditors and suppliers. Essential Skills & Qualifications: Recognised qualification as an Accounting Technician or an equivalent certification. Hands-on experience managing financial ledgers and processing payroll. Proficiency in computerised accounting software (Sage preferred but not mandatory). Strong command of Excel, Word, and Outlook. Demonstrated ability to produce precise financial reports regularly. Preferred Experience: A minimum of five years' experience in a finance role. Exposure to a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with Sage 200 and electronic document management systems.
