JOB DESCRIPTION
Wood is recruiting for a 9-12 month REP role onboard Solan on a 2*2*2*4 rotation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Understand & adhere to Stepback 5X5 principles in the performance of all duties
2. Work to & guide through Permit Systems
3. Plan all work taking into account changing conditions & to report progress accurately
4. Understand & adhere to the Hazardous Wiring Regulations
5. Read & understand detailed electrical, instrument & mechanical drawings & specifications to plan & complete tasks & ascertain the materials & equipment required
6. Install, test, repair & commission electrical, instrument and cathodic protection systems. Plan the layout of wiring systems
7. Test, locate & repair electrical malfunctions
8. Install cables, connect switches, outlets, and other electrical equipment & electronic control systems
9. Safely connect & disconnect electrical equipment to power supplies
10. Carry out cathodic & lightning protection
11. Adept at troubleshooting & repairing electrical faults in equipment; ensure materials, tools and equipment are fit for purpose, checked and certified prior to use.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Trained & experienced in the instrumentation field
2. Capable & experienced in interpreting design drawings, installing, dismantling, troubleshooting/analysing, calibrating, modifying & commissioning all electronic electrical switchgear & other electrical equipment such as, but not limited to: cathodic protection systems, switchgear, motor control centres, circuit breakers, electrical motors, lighting fixtures, valve operators.
