Main Purpose of the Role
As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will assess, implement, and evaluate person:centred rehabilitation programmes within a multidisciplinary team. You will take responsibility for ensuring continuity and consistency in the physical management of service users and will demonstrate senior:level clinical, technical, and research skills through your breadth and depth of knowledge.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
: Conduct comprehensive assessments of service users to optimise their independence and physical function
: Formulate individualised rehabilitation and treatment plans using analytical and investigative skills
: Promote choice and ensure the service users experience is positive, encouraging them to raise concerns or complaints
: Liaise and collaborate with other health and social care professionals in the planning and delivery of care
: Prescribe, provide, and maintain appropriate equipment within available resources
: Maintain up:to:date written and electronic records in accordance with professional standards, ensuring sensitive information is stored securely
: Demonstrate clinical leadership and promote clinical supervision
: Share knowledge and expertise through formal and informal teaching
: Lead on the localised training plan to ensure staff are equipped to provide physiotherapy interventions
: Maintain a safe working environment and ensure service user confidentiality is upheld
: Occasionally undertake reasonable additional tasks as required
About You
: Diploma/BSc in Physiotherapy
: Current and valid registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
: Current membership with a professional body, such as the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
: Membership in a specialist interest group (e.g., ACPIN or ACPOPC), or willingness to join
: Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD)
: Experience working in a relevant setting
: Demonstrable experience in using evidence:based practice and outcome measures
: Skilled in physiotherapy assessments and interventions, with the ability to use complex clinical reasoning
