Full time - Permanent – 40hrs per week, offering a starting salary of £40,320 per annum, plus a company car or car allowance and great company benefits EXCITING NEW ROLE BRAND NEW TO MEARS Due to a contract win we are looking for an Asbestos Supervisor to join our expanding team As an Asbestos Supervisor you will be responsible for the day to day running of our compliance and performance requirements of our Asbestos contracts. You will be working closely with our property, voids, capital, repairs and maintenance operational teams assisting to monitoring the performance of our asbestos sub-contractors and ensuring compliance across all asbestos disciplines within domestic and non-domestic properties. About the Role: To monitor and manage the compliance and performance requirements of our asbestos contract. Overseeing the Surveying, sampling, analysis, removal and encapsulation of asbestos delivered by our Asbestos licenced sub-contractors. Ensuring these tasks are efficiently carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations, standards, and departmental procedures. This involves the maintenance of all paperwork and electronic data records relevant to works carried out to ensure completion of the job is confirmed, comprehensive and accurate history is available for audit purposes, which includes quality, H&S/Regulatory issues and for invoicing purposes. To carry out informal and formal meetings and training sessions to ensure up to date business and job knowledge, communication, skills & progression are maintained. This includes regular audits of own and sub-contractors work ensuring it meets regulatory requirements and undertaken in accordance with the relevant ACOPs. Role Criteria Asbestos management qualifications such as BOHS P402, P405 etc. Previous experience managing Asbestos works Experience working within a domestic / commercial setting A positive attitude Knowledge of maintenance contracts measured term contracts and schedule of rates Strong knowledge of asbestos regulations Proficiency in IT literacy Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines. Experience of working in Social Housing Experience of supervising Sub-contractors. Strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Team player and ability to work alone Full UK driving license It would be advantageous for this role if the successful candidate had NEBOSH and IOSH knowledge and experience.
