Job Title: IT Architect Specialist - MSSQL IT (Information Technology) Architects are responsible for a significant segment of the bank's architecture and ensuring it supports overall bank strategy; designing and overseeing the construction of complex IT systems and infrastructure, aligning technology solutions with business goals and requirements. Overview/Key Responsibilities: Work includes: analysing an organization's needs, evaluating existing systems, and designing comprehensive solutions that meet functional and technical specifications using a deep understanding of one or more various technology domains, such as infrastructure architecture, application development, data platforms, cloud computing, security with the appropriate business domain knowledge. The MSSQL IT Architect Specialist will work with engineering and application teams to design(Architect) and build solutions and processes to support migration of databases to vendor supported versions. Where required work with application architects and migration teams to support migration. Database Expertise: Certified MSSQL SME with design and build experience. Migration Process Development: Work closely with the project/migration leads to develop robust migration processes. Ensure seamless integration of migration strategies with minimal disruption to ongoing operations. Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers, application teams and developers, to gather requirements and translate them into architectural designs; considering factors like scalability, performance, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness when creating blueprints for IT systems. Define architecture principles to guide solution design, develop the target technology estate to support the organization’s business strategies, develop roadmaps to enable transition to the target estate, govern the transition and provide guidance and support throughout the implementation process, ensuring that solutions are built according to architecture principles and align to the roadmaps and organization’s target architecture. Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, helping to communicate technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner. You will have: (Skills/Experience) Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an IT Architect role. Proven experience as a Technical Lead with a focus on MSSQL and database management Knowledge of IT Infrastructure Environments/ITIL would be advantageous. Working knowledge of requirements management through to delivery, both Agile and Waterfall. Experience within a tier1 banking experience ideally Deutsche Bank infrastructure environments Excellent self-starter, able to work in virtual global teams in a matrix organization. Extensive analytical skills, flexibility regarding problem solving. Open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members. Able to work in fast paced environment. Self confidence Qualifications: MSSQL Certification Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
