Job Summary
Teamwork Partnership is seeking a skilled Technical Manager with a background in the food industry to join one of their clients' teams in the Bedford Area. The ideal candidate will oversee technical operations within the establishment, ensuring smooth functioning and high-quality service and production delivery. The suitable candidate shall have strong leadership experience.
Responsibilities
1. Supervise technical staff and provide guidance on daily tasks
2. Manage technical aspects of food production and preparation
3. Oversee equipment maintenance and repairs
4. Implement health and safety protocols in line with industry standards
5. Collaborate with culinary and restaurant teams to enhance operational efficiency
6. Responsible for the Food Defence Programme, including documentation and training for all members
7. Keep abreast of legal requirements, industry guidelines, and scientific information
8. Organize and document on-site meetings, including management reviews and HACCP meetings
9. Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance plan to ensure product safety and legality
10. Ensure ongoing training within the FSQ Team, including defining job roles and maintaining a skills matrix
11. Manage the Site Hygiene System, ensuring adequate training, equipment, and chemicals are available
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in a technical role within the FMCG industry
2. Knowledge of food production processes and equipment
3. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
4. Excellent communication and strong leadership abilities
5. Qualifications in culinary or hospitality management would be advantageous
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £70,000.00 per year
