Job summary We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Therapeutic Radiographer to join our team at Nottingham Radiotherapy Centre. You will act as team leader supporting the pre-treatment and CT teams in the busy area at NUH. You will provide expert knowledge in complex treatment localisation techniques and communicate with the wider MDT in this area. Main duties of the job Provide expert knowledge and skills in specific areas of the pre-treatment section. To manage a team of staff and provide leadership and guidance to the team Co-ordinate the clinical workload of the relevant section Act as a focus for specialist clinical advice to staff, working closely with the Principal Radiographers. To contribute to the maintenance of ISO 9000 quality system for the department. To lead in the clinical research, audit and development of techniques and equipment. To ensure high technical standards and patient care standards are maintained during CT simulation and pre-treatment processes To be proactive in the evaluation and implementation of new equipment and treatment techniques. To work closely with the Principal Radiographers, doctors, physicists and other members of the team as appropriate to provide clinical expertise and support for wider team To participate in the staff training and education programme, which includes training the junior medical staff, and to be involved in the recruitment, selection and retention of staff.
