About the role
As part of Pelion’s growth plans, we are expanding our Sales team. We are looking for a skilled Sales Account Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for selling Pelion’s IoT connectivity, hardware & security solutions to existing customers in all verticals including the Energy and Transportation sectors as well as customers in a variety of worksite settings across the UK and Europe. You will be someone who has experience selling into one or more of these settings and understands the context of IoT connectivity sales cycles. What you will be doing
* Develop trusted relationships quickly with a portfolio of existing clients.
* Identify opportunities to grow business with existing clients, including up-selling and cross-selling.
* Account development: creating and implementing an account strategy to nurture existing relationships with key accounts.
* Focusing on account performance you will closely monitor and track signals from customers to identify opportunity and mitigate risk.
* Acquire industry domain knowledge and an understanding of Pelion’s solution benefits to deliver impactful conversations with customers.
* Effectively managing pipeline, prioritising the right opportunities, creating urgency to improve volume, conversion, and time metrics on deals.
* Delivering against business targets and quota.
* Maintaining CRM systems.
* Regularly present performance updates to the management and revenue team.
* Collaborate with Pelion’s leadership team on strategic accounts.
* Feedback customer insights to our Product and Technology teams.
Key experience and some personal traits we are looking for
* An enthusiastic and driven Account Manager, passionate about building and nurturing relationships and smashing targets.
* A track record in successfully managing accounts in a technical environment.
* 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
* Have an excellent level of communication skills. Demonstrate these skills through phone, email and more importantly regular face-to-face meetings with top accounts and prospects.
* A commercial mindset, achieving impact for our clients and Pelion through value-based selling.
* Ability to navigate the entire sales process, from initial contact to closure.
* Experience in reviewing, negotiating, and managing agreements.
* Start-up mentality; highly motivated with problem-solving persona, a self-starter with experience working in a fast-paced environment.
* Customer-focused and Customer-sensitive.
* Able to motivate team members and co-workers; able to influence positively; flexible and hard-working.
* Good communications and presentation skills; able to present to various stakeholders (external and internal).
* Previous experience working in the technology and/or telecommunications industry advantageous.
* A full UK driving Licence to visit customers UK wide.
* Holds a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications acquired through work experience.
