Marketing Manager – University Partnerships and Oxford Direct
Location: Hybrid/London

Job purpose
The Marketing Manager role is an exciting new position to manage University Partnerships (UP) and the direct to university (Oxford Direct) partnerships in the UK, US, and Australia. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager for UP globally, you will work closely with the Global Recruitment Team (GRT), the agent network, partner universities, College Directors, the regional marketing team, and customer and performance marketing teams.
In this role, you will be the go-to person for key partners across UP and Direct to University, owning the brands, developing sales enablement material and initiatives that resonate with agents, students, and their parents with a focus on building awareness, positioning, consideration, and preference for partner programmes to support ambitious targets for student recruitment and progression.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced marketing professional who can leverage their technical and creative skills to meet and exceed business objectives whilst developing fruitful working relationships with key counterparts. You will have experience of developing compelling marcomms, utilising a full mix of own, earned, and paid channels as well as developing effective relationships both internally and externally. You will be comfortable working with and improving processes and confident in delivering high-quality work in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
Main duties and responsibilities
Owner of the product truth
* Product truth owner for select University Partnership (UP) brands
* Brand lead for Direct to University brands
Collateral & marketing toolkit development
* Manage the design, development, print production, and delivery of the sales toolkit for our global recruitment team, ensuring collateral is high-quality, accurate, and adapted to specific audiences and stages in the sales cycle, as relevant.
* Support the New Launches Marketing Manager to ensure new brands are aligned with BAU.
Student nurture, qualification, and conversion
* Lead on student nurturing initiatives where you will need to know how to engage with prospective students, understand their needs, and use this to produce content that helps conversion.
* Ensure US conversion and deferral campaigns are executed on time and in line with recruitment needs, and learnings guide and refine future comms.
* Support the Regional Marketing Managers with recruitment activities to ensure campaigns and activity in market is aligned with the brand and reflecting the brand and their KSPs.
* In collaboration with the Social Media team, plan, develop, and implement engaging content, championing the US UP and global Direct to University brands to ensure visibility and inclusion.
* Provide social media training, best practice guides, templates, and support to support US team and students, as well as our GRT, where relevant.
* Analyse and report on metrics on the website and social channels regularly to stakeholders for further refinement.
Web content updates and content development
* Maintain up-to-date and relevant content, ensuring product, eligibility, and other information is accurate.
* Maintain presence on the websites, identifying and making updates, monitoring, and following web accessibility best practice.
* Collaborate with the Digital Manager for any website evolutions required as product lines evolve.
* Produce content regularly that promotes student success stories, staff (teaching and admin) endeavours, agent success, events happening across the group and at our partner institutions which will be shared across Oxford International’s network.
* Manage the student testimonials for both current students and alumni, keeping content up to date and relevant, sharing both online and with our sales team to use in market.
Customer centricity, experience improvements, and market research
* Conduct regular market research to understand what audiences want, how they make decisions, and how they engage with us to inform communications along the user journey.
* Analyse, understand, and optimise customer journeys, providing reports to the teams involved in delivering the experience to inform, measure, and refine marcomms.
* Manage our student ambassador platform for the US, ensuring students are onboarded throughout the year and they are supported and engaged with ongoing incentives and activities.
Email marketing towards students and agents for nurture and conversion
* Create and execute quality email marketing campaigns to students, agents, which includes up-to-date mailing lists, email templates and flow designs, writing content, building the campaign, scheduling, and reporting on performance metrics for further optimisation.
* Working with the student experience team and university, plan, develop and execute student pre and post-arrival communications and activities to support students onboarding.
* Support recruitment teams in setting up and running a range of webinars targeting students and agents in the various points of the recruitment lifecycle.
Support with digital campaigns & SEO
* Support the Growth Marketing team & Regional Marketing Managers in executing DTC acquisition campaigns, campaign landing pages, and email nurture journeys to drive student acquisition.
* Work with the Digital Manager and Social Leads on e.g. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
* Own and enhance relations with key staff at the universities.
* Own relationship with Oxford Direct to University recruitment and admissions stakeholders.
* Own the relationship with the central US operations, recruitment, and admissions teams, including the university partners.
* Be the main point of contact for marketing administration requests such as website updates, marketing portal support, and marketing collateral distribution for your products and brands.
* Provide professional marketing support and advice to recruitment and university teams.
* Work with Regional Marketing Managers to support student recruitment for your products/brands.
* Work with the Customer Marketing and Conversion teams to nurture & convert students e.g. targeted email marketing and webinars.
* Support Student Experience teams with pre-arrival, student progression, and retention.
* Undertake any other responsibilities commensurate with the grade of the post which may be required from time to time.

Education / Qualifications
* Educated to degree level.
Knowledge & Experience
* Experience of leading high-performance teams
* Experience of digital marketing with knowledge of digital platforms, social media channels, and emerging marketing trends
* Experience of developing and delivering marketing plans
* Experience building an organisation’s profile and brand
* Experience of planning and delivering marketing campaigns, from concept to delivery
* Can understand and tailor activity to a wide variety of audiences, including B2C and B2B
* Experience of data analysis and utilisation of data-driven insights to optimise marketing, demonstrating ROI
* Experience of appointing and managing external agencies for marketing activity
* Appreciates the importance of thought-leadership initiatives as part of an integrated approach to marketing
* Experience in setting, monitoring and reviewing budgets effectively and negotiating resources
* Knowledge of the UK, US, Australia, Canada education sector (Desirable)
* Knowledge of the education sector (Desirable)
* Experience of working in an international organisation (Desirable)
* Experience of tailoring approaches and plans across different global markets (Desirable)
* A professional marketing qualification such as CIM diploma, digital qualification or training (Desirable)
