Job overview
We currently have an opportunity within our Catering Services team for an enthusiastic, motivated individual. The Catering Assistant Manager will be responsible for approximately 120 members of staff, in the absence of the Catering Manager, ensuring service user satisfaction by delivering a service of the highest possible quality, making best use of available resources.
They will be responsible for the Statutory Compliance within the Central area, under the direction of the Catering Manager. Effective communication with service users and assigned staff will be paramount to ensure service satisfaction and good working relationships.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
1. Effective management of the whole range of Catering Services and delegated budgets within own area of responsibility.
2. Responsible for effective and continuous monitoring of service quality, standards, and user satisfaction.
3. Completion and Authorisation of Payroll.
4. Comprehensive management of the Food Safety Management System, ensuring completion of all HACCP documentation on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
5. Liaise with Primary Authority regarding all food safety procedures within the Food Safety Management System.
6. Provide specialist advice relating to catering to patients, staff, and visitors (e.g., allergens, special dietary requirements, menu fatigue).
7. Undertake tasks under the remit of People Services, including conducting investigations and compiling reports with human resources present findings to a disciplinary panel.
