Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated apprentice who is looking to further their knowledge and skills. The successful candidate will work alongside our current team, handling and caring for our competition horses.
Working with professional people, the training will give a good foundation to go on and work in any sphere of equestrian.
A high standard of care and attention to detail will be expected to maintain the company image we pride ourselves on.
Yard duties will include:
* Turning out and bringing in
* Mucking out
* Feeding, watering and haying
* Grooming
* Clipping and trimming
* Maintaining the cleanliness of the yard at all times
* Bandaging
* Tacking up
* Lunging/long rein
* Riding
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, hard-working team. Within the role, the successful candidate will be working towards a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Horse Care, with further training and employment available for the right candidate.

Your training plan
* Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
* The applicant will be working towards a Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship
* The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
* The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.
