An excellent opportunity to join a leading business to review and audit the current procurement activities and work with the leadership on best practices for the future.
This is an interim role, with an immediate start available, outside of IR35 for at least 3 months.
The position is based near Romford and offers hybrid working.
Overview of the Position:
1. Review all the business's current procurement activities and agreements to provide a thorough audit of the organization's procurement activities and current contractual status with suppliers.
2. Cultivate strong supplier relationships and negotiate competitive terms with suppliers.
3. Extract tangible cost savings across third-party suppliers.
4. Work with suppliers to tackle any supplier issues, queries, or lapsed agreements.
5. Lead discussions with suppliers to gain business insights and reporting to share with the business to drive strategic advantage.
6. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of high-value suppliers. Evaluate supplier offerings to ensure suppliers are aligned to business values and offer good value propositions.
7. Recommend best practices and key business planning elements for the future.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. MCIPS qualification (or working towards) - advantageous but not essential.
2. Significant experience in procurement within a professional service, insurance, or B2B environment.
3. Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management capabilities.
4. A strategic mindset and the ability to influence at all levels of the business.
