Strategy Manager (Female Health) - Fixed Term Contract

The Football Association is looking for a Strategy Manager to provide strategic leadership to the female health golden thread of the Women's and Girl's Strategy whilst driving alignment, connectivity and collaboration across the business. This is a fixed term contract that will run until the end of 2028. The role can be based at either Wembley Stadium or The National Football Centre, St. George's Park.

What will you be doing?
Strategic Development and delivery
* Lead the continued development and evolution of the FA's Female Health and Wellbeing Framework to ensure it remains fit for purpose and impactful over the next strategic cycle;
* Manage the relationship of a core portfolio of internal and external stakeholders engaged in supporting the FA's Female Health and Wellbeing Strategy;
* Create appropriate staff and stakeholder infrastructures aligned to the core priorities of the female health framework to maximise connected working, remove silos and maximise available resource cross divisionally;
* Lead on the development of core national, and international relationships with NGBs, charities, federations, commercial organisations and academic institutions to ensure the FA's female health and wellbeing strategy remains current, ambitious and game-changing;
* Work with the sales and partnerships team to look to secure a commercial partner for female health and wellbeing across the game;
* Ensure the strategic connectivity of female health work across other key areas of the business where there are broader considerations for female health and wellbeing implementation such as Safeguarding, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Disability and Mental Health and Wellbeing.
Alignment and centralisation
* Provide strategic leadership and manage core objectives within the FA's Female Health and Wellbeing Framework;
* Identify interdependencies, duplicate and complementary workstreams and cross-business opportunities for greater efficiency and connected working as well as identify, manage and report project risks;
* Drive the creation of a centralised eco-system of trusted expertise, skills and partners within female health and wellbeing to enable us to quality assure learning and development opportunities;
* Develop cross-game governance infrastructures to ensure appropriate check and challenge, decision-making and quality assurance of all game-facing female health education, support, interventions and guidance is in place;
* Drive continued cross-business communication and socialisation of female health and wellbeing, ensuring all staff and partners understand and can articulate with confidence and champion our female health work for the game;
* In collaboration with other core organisational representatives, lead on the development of the FA's first internal content framework for female health and wellbeing which will form the basis of all outward facing education, guidance and support and will ensure strategic connectivity of messaging throughout the game;
* Strategically lead the development of a game wide plan for research and insight that centralises and aligns existing knowledge, highlights core research priorities for the 24-28 cycle and connects divisions where appropriate to maximise resource.
Project and Budget Management
* Deliver effective governance, reporting and communication processes for the successful delivery of the Female Health and Wellbeing strategy;
* Develop a centralised cross-divisional delivery plan for 24-28 which outlines priority areas of work for every division aligned to the FA's priority areas for female health and wellbeing;
* Lead the Female Health and Wellbeing cross divisional project, all relevant subgroup infrastructures, and represent the project group at senior leadership level;
* Build appropriate staff and stakeholder infrastructures aligned to the core priorities of the female health framework to maximise connected working, remove silos and maximise available resource cross divisionally;
* Own and track core measures of success and deliverables across female health and wellbeing for the 24-28 strategy;
* Be responsible for the development of reporting, monitoring and tracking progress for the game wide delivery plan for Female Health and Wellbeing;
* Manage the female health and wellbeing core budget.
Business Planning
* Ensure female health and wellbeing priorities are embedded into all relevant departmental business plans each year;
* Oversee the alignment, synergy and effective resourcing of female health and wellbeing plans across divisional level business planning and ensure intended work contributes to the FA's identified priorities for female health;
* Lead on the development of female health and well-being centralised business plans year on year including proposals for required resource.
* Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group's changing priorities.
* Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and well-being can be maintained.
