As a Space Analyst, you’ll be responsible for delivering store format strategy and principles, providing your expertise to help identify and optimise retail floor plans across the estate. You’ll help support our capital investment program by maximising the return on space. Using your analytical skills, and working alongside our Space Analyst Manager, you’ll interpret data and translate your findings to support business strategy and identify opportunities for improvement. Using data, you’ll look for opportunities to drive store performance and efficiency through the continued development of effective retail floor plans. These are created using AutoCAD and Symphony AI Floor Planning. You’ll continually be looking for ways to improve performance and regularly review and report on the data and your findings. You’ll present schemes to key stakeholders for sign off. This role will see you collaborating across the business, including with our Development Project Delivery team, Retail Operations and Food Commercial. How will I know if I am right for this role? To be successful in this role, you’ll need to understand format and space systems and be comfortable working with external and customer data. Bringing previous experience of presenting business cases for change, you’ll have strong communication skills and be confident in presenting. You’ll be someone who can see the bigger picture and who can challenge, change and improve. Due to the nature of the role, you’ll need to feel comfortable collaborating with colleagues across the business. You’ll bring the ability to interpret and apply business information, as well as a keen eye for detail. CAD experience is desirable, as is previous experience of SymphonyAI or similar retail Floor Planning systems. Previous food retail experience would be preferred but is not essential.
