Role Overview
Vario is a market leading alternative legal services provider within the law firm, Pinsent Masons. It is unique in the legal sector. Vario is a practice group within Pinsent Masons which incorporates Flexible Services, Consulting and Technology, Legal Project Management, and Managed Legal Services (MLS). This role sits within our MLS team.
As the Vario team grows, we are recruiting a Delivery Manager to support our MLS Delivery teams in ensuring that we are delivering a world-class legal service to our practice groups and external clients. The role will support our engagement strategies with both sectors and groups and focus on the pastoral care and development of our legal delivery teams and their capabilities. The successful candidate will:
1. Line manage a team of paralegals focused on delivery of work to both lawyers and external clients, including day-to-day supervision, training & development, and management of direct reports.
2. Supervise the delivery of legal services to end-users.
3. Provide service delivery management support on engagements as required, including resource planning, quality assurance, output/efficiency reviews, and progress reporting.
4. Continually develop delivery models to ensure best-in-class service.
5. Develop effective working relationships across relevant practice groups and sectors.
6. Work with Resource Management to effectively manage the allocation of work and monitor/manage capacity and workload levels.
Candidate Overview
We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:
1. Experience of working on intellectual property related matter types.
2. Alternative legal services experience.
3. Demonstrable experience of managing a high-performing team of legal professionals.
4. Experience in managing the delivery of legal services in a high volume, multi-location environment.
5. Experience of influencing stakeholders in a large commercial law firm to promote the benefits of utilizing alternative service delivery models.
6. Significant experience of working with performance metrics to ensure best-in-class service delivery.
