We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Leadership Team in the key role of Head of Regional Operations (North/Midlands Region). The role holder will enable the continuous improvement and evolution of factory performance by developing a deep understanding of the current reality, and developing a practical approach to improvement, engaging the Factory Managers and their teams in this journey. Working with an experienced Production Management Team you should have a proven track record of delivering improved performance through the combination of people and process, with an in-depth knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques. You will demonstrate a "safety first" culture whilst meeting all of our manufacturing KPIs and ensure the customer is at the heart of all we do. Identify and implement best practices and synergies across the two sites to drive improved performance functioning as one coherent business unit. Develop and deliver major capital projects to support our strategic plans for improving manufacturing capacity and effectiveness across your factories. Ensure all manufacturing sites adopt the Ibstock Management System (IMS) and deliver their production targets safely within financial, quality and environmental constraints. Identification and dissemination of best practice and continuous improvement in all operational areas to maximise wider business benefits. Ensure manufacturing sites adhere to approved raw material and supplier lists whilst working on long term supply chain plans to support on-going operations and strategic development. Ensure we have a quality right first time approach and an on-going focus to improve the cost of quality and customer satisfaction. Working with factories to ensure we have effective preventative engineering processes in place to maximise factory efficiencies Knowledge, Skills and Experience Create an environment where the health, safety, environmental and wellbeing of colleagues must be the absolute priority and where high standards are expected. Visible felt leadership and engagement of your team of Factory Teams to develop a culture of high performance through effective goal setting, regular reviews, individual and team development plans and effective coaching. Strong influencing skills demonstrated through values based leadership and role modelling positive leadership behaviours. ? Extensive experience in a Leadership role, ideally within a multi-site manufacturing environment with a demonstrable track record of delivering improved performance through people. A formal business leadership qualification (degree or equivalent) would be desirable ? The ability to work accurately, independently and efficiently, and to take real ownership of the various work streams and manufacturing facilities. ? To possess, demonstrable experience in Lean Manufacturing with specific focus on TIMWOODS and Pace. ? NEBOSH Certificate (as a minimum). ? The ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation with a high degree of written English for Board and Plc level reports combined with comprehensive presentation delivery skills.
