Job Title: CNC Production Manager Location : Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire GL20 Salary: £40,000 -£50,000 depending on experience. Job Type : Full-time, permanent. 39 hours per week Monday - Thurs 8-5pm Friday 8-1pm This company is a growing precision engineering company based in Tewkesbury specialising in orthopaedic medical instruments, aerospace, defence and general precision engineering. The role: Our CNC Production Manager position is tasked with scheduling the departments workload in line with monthly delivery plans as well as the management of the team which includes apprentices, machine operators, programmers as well finishers. Main duties of the Production Manager, however not limited to: Effective running of the CNC machine shop and finishing department, managing resources and equipment, ensuring targets are met. Scheduling all department activities in line with monthly delivery plans. Training & mentoring junior team members' including apprentices. Quality focus to address route cause of failures and implement effective corrective actions Hands on approach with key input to project-based tasks. Ongoing review for process optimisation and operator training Ensure we are working to Best Practice across all outputs. Create / Maintain SOP's and PWI's for the existing and new processes Effective communication channels to be used at all times within the department To ensure all documentation within the department is kept up to date to Quality Accreditations and customer expectations. Complete Risk Assessments and drive best practice Health & Safety through your department / business To act professionally in accordance with company policies and procedures as laid down in the Employees Handbook at all times Develop and maintain effective communication links with fellow colleagues to ensure the above. Experience & Requirements The ideal candidate will have skills/experience as follows: Must be a time served Engineer or have at least 5 years in an Engineering role Must have an excellent understanding of CNC Machine 3 axis / 5 axis. Must have Management / Supervisory Experience Ability to work to multiple priorities. Experience of working in an SME is desirable. Experience of working with medical instrumentation is desirable.
