Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sourcing Manager – IT. Covering a wide range of areas you will lead on projects across IT and Digital whilst also playing an important role in executing the University’s new Procurement Code.
Duties will include;
1. Take ownership of projects within the IT category to develop the category vision and deliver the category plan
2. Engage collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
3. Provide sound procurement advice and guidance to stakeholders in line with internal regulations, policies and procedures
4. Maximise the use of university funds by delivering efficiencies and savings on procurement projects within IT
5. Promote commercial best practice
6. Develop supplier relationships
7. Address non-compliance issues within category and deliver compliant procurements
Person:
The successful Sourcing Manager – IT:
8. Experience of delivering multiple high value/high risk procurement projects
9. MCIPS or equivalent
10. Track record of delivering savings
11. Public Sector procurement experience
12. Contract negotiation experience
13. Working knowledge of IT category
