The Position: We are looking to recruit a new Job Coach (FT Term time 4) 38 weeks We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious team member to join our highly successful and award-winning Supported Internship team. The successful candidate will be largely employer (offsite) based and will help and support learners with SEND to develop workplace competencies through targeted training and support directly in the workplace whilst also building relationships with parents/carers and all stakeholders. We are proud to work with a number of national, regional and local business to support young people into the workplace, including internships at ASDA, Tesco, George Eliot Hospital, Nuneaton Signs and Ansty Golf Club. Initially we expect the successful candidate to be based in the retail sector working with ASDA. The ability to get the best out of learners within a workplace environment. Responsibilities for the role: The main duties of the post will be to: To provide 1:1 and small group support, coaching and mentoring to students on a supported internship within a business. To facilitate and manage Supported Internship placements in all partner businesses. To be responsible for a cohort of interns in a business working remotely from NWSLC. To co-ordinate and develop a pathway for learners to move towards employment and liaise with NWSLC team members to devise a programme to meet the needs identified. To provide information, advice, guidance and support to young people who have barriers to entering training or employment. To plan, deliver, assess, review, and provide feedback to all interns for their self-directed study sessions. To lead on the support required for an individual students Special Educational Needs and associated EHCP targets. Support interns to manage their day-to-day work placements and develop an appropriate curriculum to meet their needs. Work with the Supported Internship team leader to expand the opportunities available for interns and develop new placements.
