Job Description Your responsibilities as a marine crewing officer: Liaise with Crewing Agencies for the selection and provision of qualified seafarers Confirm with Flag state Authority that the Certificates of Competency for all Marine personnel are authentic prior to appointment to Company Operated ships Ensure that all Marine personnel professional certificates are current including Flag State medicals Schedule Crew rotas including travel arrangements to/from vessel Ensure that crew welfare arrangements on company operated ships comply with the standards identified in the relevant Maritime Labour Convention (MLC 2006) standards Arrange for revalidation of all Flag State CoC / CeC prior to expiry Liaise with Vessel Superintendents on any additional personnel who may be required to join/visit Company Operated ships for repair, MLC, Flag or Class Inspection etc Maintain a working knowledge and be fully conversant with the principles identified in the Gardline Safety Management System
