Pension Contribution Competitive Holiday Allowance Employee Assistance Programme Discount Platform Life Assurance Benefit Cycle To Work Scheme Purpose Of The Role: Control of the operative warehouse processes within a shift Management of employees taking into account economic, qualitative and safety-related goals Key Responsibilities: Technical and disciplinary management of employees Conduct regular performance reviews with the team ensuring that their skills are maximised and they are appropriately developed and trained to meet the organisational goals Development of employees Responsiveness through presence in the handling warehouse Efficient bay management Efficient waste management Daily inspections of MHE and battery care Operational control of the shift under cost and quality aspects Daily shift briefing with Warehouse (Operations) Manager and team coordinators Daily staffing and resource deployment planning within the shift Conduct shift meetings alongside your manager Identifying the development and training needs of your team, ensuring that all MHE training is up to date Overseeing and managing the daily activities of your shift to ensure productivity reaches set KPIs Enforcing order and cleanliness in the warehouse Identifying optimization and improvement potentials and their implementation Monitoring compliance with all relevant safety regulations Prioritisation of workload to successfully meet deadlines within the operation Continuous and effective communication via email, face to face and telephone for both internal and external contacts The ideal candidate will have: Knowledge of working in a logistics warehouse Strong communication skills must have the ability communicate to all levels and all mediums Ability to lead by example Proven and effective leader of people Ability to work under pressure Efficient management of staff Strong team leadership and teambuilding abilities Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to solve problems and resolve issues Working knowledge of KPI management Ability to work on own initiative Innovative approach Conflict resolution knowledge and experience Persuasive ,motivational and persistent IT literate with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Previous experience in a supervisory position Minimum of 2 years experience in a contract logistics warehouse environment We do not accept CV details from Recruitment Agencies unless Dachser have engaged directly regarding the role requirements beforehand.
