About Sheffield
Located on Scotland Street.
Are you a nurturing, creative, and passionate Early Years Educator looking to make a difference in the lives of our youngest learners? We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team and provide a safe, engaging, and loving environment for babies.
About You
You are a Level 2 or above qualified Early Years Educator / Practitioner / Nursery Nurse or similar who enjoys supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children. In other words, you were born to teach and shape the future of our younger generations. You have a natural, nurturing, openness, a warm and positive outlook, and you care about learning and education standards in the UK.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan. That will soon get completely derailed though. Pivoting when the circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care! You will be engaging in a range of hands-on activities such as arts and crafts, storytelling, and interactive games that align with EYFS standards. You will be using your creativity and enthusiasm to foster a playful, stimulating atmosphere that meets each child’s unique needs. You will be building strong, positive relationships with parents and caregivers, ensuring they feel connected to their child's early development.
What You'll Need
* A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years. (We can sometimes consider unqualified Educators, as long as they demonstrate the necessary qualities, values and enthusiasm for working within this environment. If you think you've got the right attitude and abilities, submit an application; who knows it might be the best thing you ever did. Nothing ventured nothing gained!)
* Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5, is advantageous.
* Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS is desirable.
* Reflecting the Children 1st values around responsibility, openness, and working together.
What You'll Get
* Competitive rates of pay dependent on experience, qualification and NMW age guidance.
* 50% childcare discount.
* 20 days holidays (plus bank holiday).
* Dedicated learning and development support.
* Access to one-to-one confidential counselling sessions through our Employee Assistance Programme.
* DBS and update service paid during service.
* Paid Staff meetings.
