Commercial Manager - Assurance
Supporting the Commercial Assurance Lead and acting as the link between the asset teams and Project Controls for all reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the asset team in the production of monthly reporting data and liaise with the Project Control Team. Attend project-wide reporting for all assets and ensure a standard set of slides across the assets. Collaborate with the Project Control team to submit project-wide reporting up the line.
* Lead monthly cost and performance reviews for each asset and organize the POAP (Margin) meeting for Area East.
* Develop East-specific cost and performance reporting, tracking, and lead weekly labor and plant reviews for the assets.
* Support asset teams in the semi-annual production of the BUF as defined under the Contract, ensuring alignment with the Core for BUF production.
* Challenge assets on BUF production, particularly regarding labor and plant forecasts, and ensure these are approved through the appropriate channels.
* Support assets in preparing the BUF in the correct format and with the right information for integration into the overall Project BUF.
* Liaise with Core regarding the issue and format of the BUF and its submission to Hs2.
* Coordinate with asset teams on the quarterly AfP production, challenging and submitting to Core for Hs2.
* Lead the disallowed cost register and manage disallowed costs with Hs2, challenging this back to Hs2 using the Contract.
* Manage staff organograms and ATRs related to these roles, coordinating against the staff budget.
* Coordinate the Cost Verification Framework and liaise with Core to obtain data from assets to address queries on the CVF.
* Lead the risk drawdown process with Project Controls and manage the overall budget, including drawdowns for ICEs and risk.
Required Qualifications, Skills, Behaviours and Attributes
* RICS/CICES accredited Degree (or equivalent)
* Full Membership of RICS or CICES (or equivalent)
* Post-graduate commercial experience in the construction industry with a demonstrable track record of achievement
* Demonstrable financial and commercial acumen
* Extensive experience in drafting effective contractual correspondence and facilitating collaborative solutions
* Demonstrable legal, contractual, and construction knowledge and experience
* Experience in implementing and delivering strategic objectives and associated change programmes
* Confidence and ability to assert influence
* A creative, strategic, and innovative approach to problem-solving
